FUTA Departments Receive Full Accreditation from COMEG

FUTA’S EARTH AND MINERAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENTS EARN FULL ACCREDITATION FROM COMEG.

  • Five departments in the School of Earth and Mineral Sciences at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) have earned full accreditation status from the Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG). This status, effective from January 2022 to December 2025, extends to programs such as Applied Geology, Applied Geophysics, and Marine Science and Technology. The accreditation certificates have been received and conveyed to the Vice Chancellor.

FUTA Receives Full Accreditation from COMEG

In a significant development in Nigeria’s educational landscape, five departments from the School of Earth and Mineral Sciences at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) have been conferred with full accreditation status. The endorsement by the Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG) is effective from 1st January 2022 and will remain valid until December 2025.

COMEG: Upholding Professional Standards in Nigeria
