Delta State University (DELSU) Notice to Students on 2023/2024 School Fees Schedule.

The University Administration wishes to formally respond to concerns and reactions on Social Media to the recent marginal upward review of charges paid by undergraduates of the University. It is important to state that the increases and new charges are compatible with new services introduced for the benefit of the students. These include; Delsu mobile App, WiFi services, e-learning, smart ID cards, cutting-edge technologies, and the COBES for Medical and allied courses.

In addition, the University operations are subject to the rising cost of materials and services which it has no control over. The charges notwithstanding, Delsu remains among the least fee-paying State Universities in Nigeria. Fees and charges paid by undergraduates range from N68,000 to N130,000. Tuition fees remain free for all undergraduate students and accommodation fee in the largest hostels in Site 2 has been reduced from N30,000.00 to N20,000.00 by Management in the interest of the students.

Delsu Management has also embarked on the conscious development of its programmes and improved academic facilities and infrastructure in the last year. We are determined to continue to modernize the University and sustain the current improvement in DELSU ranking among Universities in Nigeria.

In line with the University’s belief and commitment to dialogue and democratic ethos, the University Administration will meet on Monday 15th March 2021 with Leaders of Organised Students for constructive discussion to clarify issues and bridge areas of differences. The Vice-Chancellor, therefore, urges our dear students to remain calm and go about their registration formalities and lectures. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andy Egwunyenga will always act in your best interest.

Meanwhile, the University Administration is aware of the activities of wild card opportunists with political interests who want to exploit the situation for selfish ends. Security agencies have been alerted to curb their nefarious activities and protect our dear law-abiding students.
