• English Language, Mathematics, Government or History or Civic Education, and any TWO other Arts and Social Science Subjects

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR NCE IN POLITICAL SCIENCE

As the College Academic Board has recently approved the commencement of NCE programme in Political Science in the 2019/2020 academic session, below is the admission requirement for the programme.

(i) A Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or G.C.E ‘O’ Level with credit passes in five subjects at the same sitting or at two sittings. The credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics and Government or History. The remaining two credit passes should be in arts or social science subjects such as Economics, Geography, Literature in English, Yoruba, French, Christian Religious Knowledge and Islamic Religious Studies. One of the two must be the subject the candidate wishes to combine with Political Science.

(ii) Successful candidates in the Pre-NCE final examinations must have their admission regularised with the JAMB.

(iii) All candidates wishing to be considered for admission must have sat for 2019 JAMB examinations.

(iv) Change of course/institution from other courses to Political Science may also be processed by interested and qualified candidates.

(v) Political Science as a single major course may be combined with any one of the following subjects: English, French, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, Geography, Economics, Social Studies and History.
